Canon PG-245 and CL-246 are related ink cartridge families used by supported Canon PIXMA printers. The two numbers identify different cartridge colours or functions, so both should be checked before ordering.

PG-245 vs CL-246

PG-245 is used for black ink, while CL-246 identifies a tri-colour cartridge family. XL versions provide higher stated capacity within the supported family.
