What's the difference between standard and XL ink cartridges?

XL (high-yield) cartridges hold more ink and print more pages than the standard version of the same cartridge number, so the cost per page is lower. They're the same physical size and fit the same printers.

Is compatible ink safe for my printer?

Yes. Compatible ink is formulated to the manufacturer's specifications as a direct replacement — it won't damage your printer or void its warranty. If your printer shows a non-genuine warning, printing continues normally.

How do I stop ink cartridges from drying out?

Print at least once a week, leave cartridges installed in the printer rather than removing them, and run the printer's cleaning cycle occasionally. Store spare cartridges sealed in their original packaging.

Do ink cartridges expire?
